Post Drafts Hidden-Aug

Due to protecting an out of town- close friend, some posts are hidden in drafts and/or deleted.

Katrina's Wrath

I have been lying all day watching the most horrific catastrophe before my eyes due to a natural disaster, a killer monster from the sea, the worst I have ever witnessed other than watching the Tsunami at Christmas. Asking myself how on earth can I write my thoughts and feelings about this, where will the words come from to express what my heart is feeling inside and my body from the hair lifting from my arms and neck, not to mention the chills and the tears in my eyes. For every person, family, relative or friend of any one of the victims of this hell on earth, you all are in our thoughts and prayers. I feel so helpless and not quite sure yet how I can help or what we as a family can do for these people. Victims and survivors are what they are; I have difficulties with the word refugees for some reason. From spending numerous times and living in different areas from New Orleans to Gulf Shores, I know this area as if it was my backyard or the back of my hand. Each time I see a reporter I have been in that exact spot or know exactly where they are standing. I recognize what is left or what was there before Katrina, but what is worst is seeing these people wonder around with no place to go, no water or food, hot sun without shade, and no help but it is on its way but when? Most all of us have no idea what this feeling would be like. I know personally that the majority of these people are poor and what little they had was all they owned. You see some carrying garbage bags, with what? What could they have that has not already been taken from them? I hear and see children hungry and a baby already died earlier on the freeway making it to high ground there are thousands of them – small children, babies, elders, the sick, the injured the list continues with each person being a human being and suffering while the rest of us watch in total shock.
My knowledge of Mobile to Louisiana has always had low lands and swamps, so the ground holds water everywhere even when it rains, not just the city of N.O. being below sea level. I feel many people aside from the N.O. area, felt safe a few miles away from the water surge along MS and AL, but when a hurricane reaches winds higher than a 3 category you know it is going to be catastrophic and you have to get far far away from in a direction that it will not be on your back side following you. But what do they do when someone has no money for gas, motel expenses, and survival money once they escape. Most of these people live from paycheck to paycheck, and some less than that. They weigh out to stay behind in hopes of making their payments that week, stay with friends praying the storm turns or last resort a shelter for overnight until it passes. Many of us have pets, well they are not allowed in these places. Financially I have had times in my life raising two children alone where I have been up and I have been down. There were times in my past of having no option with a storm coming in; you make a decision sometimes based on what you can do with what you have.
I know that help is truly on its way, but for ones that are not updated on this terrible situation, people have no food, water, cell phone usage, radio, and no form of communication for alerts or announcements of where to go and what to do next. They are wading through sewage, most are injured from the journey after the traumatic experience they went through where ever they were at during the hurricane, and now for some that have reached high ground they only find others confused and desperate with nothing left except for what they can hold or wear.
I could write on and on about this with more details and feelings that our family feel, but it is way too overwhelming to pick or select one story or another to tell. This is life and death with very little time left. Rescue is doing the best they can, but the dead is everywhere.

I am NOT seeking a response to my feelings, but I AM interested in each of your feelings concerning this tragic most awful disaster in our country of our people. Be neighborly, a giver, make a call, we all must do something big or small. I am considering a donation to a Church based organization and my daughter is so upset she wants to leave and volunteer. She knows right now that would be so difficult with her help of others around here and starting back college in a couple weeks and her employment obligations, but one thing is for sure we all desire to help in every way we can. For anyone out there that still has people missing as our family does, please let us know, we truly do care. Excuse me right now for no sense of humor or desire to comment at places where I just do not have it in me.

LA, MS, N AL-Katrina

This period is very emotional and sentimental to me! As I am giving my TV undivided attention memories are flooding back to me overwhelmingly. As a child, I experienced Hurricane Betsy’s effects was too young to remember though, but my most vivid picture in my mind was of Hurricane Camille when I was (removed ) yrs old living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My Dad and I went outside (with a three-sided protection walls in a garage) to watch the Eye of Camille. I will never forget that night and aftermath for the rest of my life. The thought that we spoke of for years was the hurricane party they had that night that everyone died as the surge of water swept them away. Dead bodies, boats, and the destruction of property was everywhere.
As I listen to Shepard on FNC in the French Quarter it hits deep in my heart as well as them reporting from my hometown of Pleasure Island including Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, AL Point, Fort Morgan, etc on the beach shores of Alabama. Actually all the little cities they are naming I am familiar with each one from Louisiana to Pensacola, FL.
Since I was old enough to walk, we participated every year in Mardi Gras and I had a second home in the French Quarter along with one of my life-long friends that live in G.S. The historical balcony apartment is located at 624 Saint Peter’s St. (French Quarter adjoining Bourbon Street) If you know of the “The Gumbo Shop” (across the street) and Pat O’Brien’s then you know where I am referring to. The entrance to the apartment was on the side of the old building they called the area Pirate’s Alley. We had a key to open the double gated door to go up three flights of stairs to get to the overlooking view that was breath taking for an experience of freedom and access to everything in the French Quarter. For years I spent time in this small apartment as my getaway, especially with the French doors open to the slanted balcony that was designed that way for water to run off and to listen to the street sounds as I sit or hung off the rod iron to look, throw beads, or converse with the walking pedestrians below on the sidewalk.I can't seem to find this morning my picture of this building. I did email (friend) to ask if he would send it, but I am sure he is hunkered down in Gulf Shores right now and perhaps with no power for his home or successful business on the beach. For some reason I can't find it right now on the internet either. They have made several movies from this balcony and it is on many postcards, unfortunately on this new computer and in my home all that is in boxes. Right now my main concern is for my family, relatives, friends and all the people in these three states, my computer passion will have to wait until this storm passes before I can think of sitting longer than this in front of it. Take care to all and I will see you one day, for now as I have been for two days in bed taking naps and being up most of the night watching the coverage of this devastation of Katrina. May God be with them all!

Edit: Check out Archive Mardi Gras!

Survived Katrina

Thank you guys for checking on me, all is fine here. A few limbs and leaves everywhere, but no lightning nor much rain, when the storm turned downward suddenly we were saved from the worst of it. Where we are located we did get high winds from the front of the EYE, but then the quick turn of the hurricane dumped most of the rain and damage south of us in Miami-Dade. The power went off a couple times but only for a few minutes. I took Patsy’s advice and had a drink, ended up falling asleep on the sofa. It was fun to watch until dark, before then though it was like the Wizard of OZ with things flying outside. Can not report on when I went into dream land early, because the roof could come off and I would not know it.
So now the sun is shining, then periodically it will rain and then go cloudy every hour this morning so far, it has been like that. I guess all the people here for the VMA’s or MTV awards will get back to partying. My life lately has been one crisis after another, now my ex of 20 years is in Florida and we will be civil with all going out later to eat. Then I will return and probably be a good girl and take my meds an extra dose and go to sleep early. (smiling) Will fill you in if any more disasters happen in the next 24 hours! (LOL) Now Katrina is headed to my hometown, it hits us and then goes to them. I’m afraid She will be around for a bit longer.
Does anyone have fun plans for the weekend?? Would love to hear what is going on with you guys, since it has been so difficult to get around lately with all this mess going on here for me to visit. So Sorry!! Thanks again to all of you from my heart.

Thank God for Power

Could you imagine living in the day without it? Electricity! I would not have been a good pioneer, pilgrim or Amish! Thankfully I was saved from that era or lifestyle. All this Storm is going to be - is a flood with a little wind but if my power goes out I will totally go more NUTS, say a prayer please. How do you think your life would have been like? Just a fantasy question here! (smiling) Women and Men had it bad!!P.S. Off subject: Time for overdose, just informed my ex is coming to FL to visit my children in less than 24 hrs! YIKES! Will be asleep for days, nightie night!

Wednesday's Buzz

Well, here I sit with very little energy but thought I would give a few updates. Firstly, I miss visiting all my favorite friends and I know some really great posts. Hopefully soon I can sit long enough to read and catch up. Just when I thought my strength was getting a second wind, I had to go outside my palace today for important business that required my presence. The traffic was crazy, the scenery was beautiful as always, but it was extra steamy like unbearably hot. My sweet daughter drove me around; we listened to Bill O’Reily talk radio show on radicals while we had to go several places around Fort Lauderdale. Lo and Behold, wouldn’t you know it, (wishing I would have drove my BMW) her A/C decided to go on and off during high noon. That meant windows down and then up again constantly. I thought I was going to faint. Finally after arriving home to 68 degree, I stripped as fast as possible, down to what I love to wear – one of my long flowing gowns like a 1950’s movie. The only thing I was missing was my heels with fluffy little feathers. Still had my make-up on, so I looked half-way ready for a good looking man! Needless to say, I went straight to the sofa and passed out.

Just a bit ago, woke up to news of Tropical Storm Katrina in the Bahamas just 50 miles away. I guess that means storing the outside furniture, putting the plants up and wheeling off the grill, etc. just case of high winds, we know it is going to rain at least 12 inches. (just a few inches would be great..humm:-)) They have cancelled school for all the children, I bet they are happy. Just hoping that our Weather Man is wrong about us possibly losing power with this minimum storm that may produce 40-50 mph winds, tomorrow we should know more. My waking moments are filled with ideas to write about, and I have a ton of experiences to share, opinions to fill up a blog, and a million subjects, topics and questions to ask but no energy here to do anything but lay down! So exciting huh? It sucks honestly, but it was nice today even though it was hotter than hell outside to get out for my third time this month. Only had a few panics (smiling) and that was on I-95. Hopefully soon I will buy another new computer but this time a laptop so I can snuggle in bed with it, been checking out some Dell’s, the only ones I will own.
Meanwhile, if you wish, please tell me your topics of your latest posts.

Confused?

As I convey my feelings today I do hope not to offend anyone and their beliefs, but I compose this as the Christian I am. As I am sad and trying to feel hope and some understanding I find it very difficult. I lay and watch what is being revealed to me LIVE from one extreme extent to another. Firstly, I have been watching the withdrawn of Gaza all morning and have shed many tears, especially for the home owners and the emotions showed in all the evacuations of that area of Israel.
According to my belief I keep referring back to scriptures in Genesis 12:2, 3 [(2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: (3) and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in the thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.] A promise God made with Abram, and God never breaks promises.
In my opinion perhaps that is why so many countries that hate Israeli people are cursed if you notice those nations are saturated with radicals, terrorist, and poverty! Also I feel the whole country of Israel should belong to the Jewish people as it was stated as their promise land, all the way back to God instructing Moses to lead his Chosen People out of Egypt. I do try to understand what is needed at this time in history, but I can not help but feel that all this should not be happening, but to try to compromise peace apparently it must be carried out as peacefully as possible. That does not change the sad and heart breaking feeling that my family has.
Then as I flip to evil in its most horrifying insight there you see and hear of the BTK Killer Dennis Rader on Court TV. It is so disturbing that I am in a state of mine that has no grasp of any understanding in the other extreme. Evil at its worst in the existence of a breathing person that shows no remorse.
Aside from all the other news now, from my previous post concerning Mohamed Atta and the revealing information that I had previously learned about before the big exposure last night of our last government Administration having knowledge of UBL and the new secret details prior to 9/11... that is very disturbing. The two states that are declaring a state of emergency for the illegal immigration problem in New Mexico and Arizona, it seems the list of news and the last few days of breaking information have been too much for me to bear at this time.
At this moment I have no desire to be online nor smile at this time, I am also struggling with pressures of my real life and what is happening in our home. Take care and May God Bless you all.

Soldier Links N Blogs

There are two requests I ask today of my readers, friends and anyone that has information with links to our soldiers in the Middle East. We need more link addresses for our soldiers and a special request if you have an extra minute in your day to drop them a note.
Today Bipolar Princess has a post featuring one of our soldiers John in Iraq you will also find him on my sidebar under Favorite Blogs. If anyone has more links please add them in the comment section that would be very much appreciated. We need to remember our soldiers both men and women of all ages, races and religion that are fighting for us all. Perhaps we can take a moment and drop them a line and hopefully continue to visit them in the future. I feel we are all united in Honoring or Supporting our Troops!
Michael Yon is a new one that I have added to my bookmark but not yet read or commented on. His blog and one other one including military families, veterans, soldiers, etc. Military Blogs These two sites I have just recently learned about but plan on visting very shortly. Wishing everyone a great day and being thankful we have one.

My family hearts are breaking today for Israel, not sure how many people I will be visiting today.

News this Week

My views on topics this week on the news, since last Sunday I started this hopefully I will be able to continue with something that someone will find to comment on in a civil manner and/or an intelligent debate.
August Reuters says Aug. is always a slow month for media reporting and that may be the reason for the extra coverage of in Crawford, TX. Washington, Congress and many others are on vacation much of our government is not in session, actually every year in Italy everyone have the whole month of August off as holiday. People flock to the beaches and do not return to work until September 1st. Dog Days of summer, best bet is stay cool as possible. NFL pre-games have started and we are pulling for the Miami Dolphins. My favorite is college football – SEC and a die hard Auburn Tiger Fan!
Gas Prices – Oil prices settled at a record high this week near $67. Prices now 46% higher than a year ago! Will it reach $5.00 a gallon at the pump soon? This rise will affect us all the way to the food on our tables, from truckers to our power bills. It has been that way for years in Europe, actually most people walk, use scooters and small vehicles for traveling. I read once that is why Italians are not heavy people with all the pasta and wine they drink, they take walks after dinner. I did as the Romans did every time I was there. What are you paying? views or predictions?
Cyprus Airlines- A Boeing 737 crashes north of Athens, Greece! No survivors all 121 passengers died, moments before a passenger text messaged "Farewell, cousin, here we're frozen," Sotiris Voutas said. There were 48 children on board! Very sad and extremely tragic! Both black boxes have been recovered.
Lung Cancer – Not uncommon for non-smokers! We learned this week that Christopher Reeve’s widow Dana has lung cancer and has never smoked a cigarette. This cancer is one of the most deadly – 163,000 people will die this year from this disease. Non-smokers are within 10-15% fall victim, with it being more women than men. The experts say there are many reasons for this: Rayon, Estrogen, Second-hand smoke/pollution, genetics.
Iraq – Constitution Deadline (1st draft) within hours away! The AP says the deadline may have to be extended. It is 120 degrees in many cities there. Senator John McCain says we need more troops there and we must stay in Iraq. There were 30 bodies found in shallow graves south of Baghdad today that included some women.
Gaza – Why this pullout? Israeli and Palestinian troops took up positions Sunday to launch Israel’s historic withdrawal from the Gaza Strip? I pray for the 9,000 settlers! Today the 14th is the sadest holiday for the Jewish people! Why is the government doing this? Will someone explain to me?
Eye on Atta – Mohamed Atta (9/11 highjacker) Information was withheld from the FBI more than a year before 9/11 and The 9/11 Report did not include it. Do you think President Clinton was aware of this information that the CIA knew that we had a dangerous terrorist cells living among us. Many of the 9/11 high-jackers/terrorists lived down the street from us here on the beach in South Florida, eating, drinking and going to our flight schools. That information could have been very useful or perhaps stopped what happened on Sept. 11, 2001.
Interesting Info
Teacher Sex Scandal – Thursday in TN, Pamela Rogers Turner, 28, pleads no contest to having sex multiple times with one of her students, a 13 yr. old boy and has been sentenced to nine months in jail. Shocking!! What about if Pamela would have been a man?? any thoughts?
Moms in the News:
Aruba – Beth Holloway Twitty confronts one of the Kalpoe brothers at the internet café. She is doing just as I would except by now I would have probably strangled one of the boys to find out where my daughter was. Most likely I would be in their jail or prison system. There is no where I would not go or do to find my daughter if she was missing. What would you do if you were in this situation? any comment?
Crawford- Cindy Sheehan lost her precious son who was killed in Iraq in 2004. Casey, her son was killed in April and soon after she met with President Bush and was quoted to have been happy with the president’s attitude as he offered her condolences. The White House put out an accounting of all the meetings that Bush has had with families of the war dead -- 900 relatives of 272 people who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sheehan met the president in June 2004. Unfortunately now she has been swallowed by the Political far left radicals’ eight groups so far including Michael Moore, Move on.org, Code Pink and others. I feel for Cindy Sheehan she is being used now to promote and be a poster Mom for other groups causes. What do you think her chances are now for another meeting with our President? Bush has acknowledged her in his last two statements. All of our hearts break for her losing her son, but there are many other moms and soldiers that do not feel that the blame should be on one person. Should Cindy stay? Do you think the President should meet her again? Will he open the door for repeat visits with Family Members on a regular basis? What can he do other than listen and offer his condolences again? Any answers? Click this link for more info
Power Line
Howard DeanI love what you say, please keep it up! You’re the best thing for the Democratic Party. Keep your mouth running! (lol) As DNC Chairman he truly loves to say all the right things, does he not?
Rolling Stones – Now all the pressure is on the NFL, which inked a huge season-long deal with the Stones to promote the league and "Monday Night Football." I have always loved the Stones, but with this new song "Sweet Neo Con" it makes me feel differently about what I would enjoy listening to watching my favorite sport. Our football in this country is all American; would it not make sense to have a band from the U.S. with non-controversial lyrics? Have you heard the lyrics?? Do you know how many times the NFL has claimed being stupid and not knowing beforehand?

Remember Superbowl, commercial with a desperate housewife? They claim they did not know before inking!
Hillary Clinton and Jeanine Pirro have set their sights on New York's U.S. Senate seat in 2006. Should be an interesting race, we all know Hillary has been leaning to the middle for now learning from our last election and for almost a year I have been listening to Jeanine and her views on many different issues. Humm it makes you wonder why Hillary drop 15% in the polls last week perhaps because New Yorkers know she is running for President but wants the Senate until the presidential campaign starts. What do you think should Hillary want her icying before going for the cake?
I am open for opinions, pick a topic, or all of them I don't care as long as you are civil that is all that matters. Overall I will be surprised if many debate these issues or my views, but I hope you do. I definitely have more Democrats as friends in Blogville than I do in person and btw I respect and enjoy each one of you.

Dogs graduate from bomb-sniffing school

FRONT ROYAL, Virginia (Reuters) - U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff on Thursday paid tribute to one of America's most useful weapons in the war on terrorism -- the nose of a well-trained dog.
Chertoff presided over a graduation ceremony for 10 dogs and their trainers, handing out badges on dog collars at the Customs and Border Protection Canine Enforcement Training Center. After having completed a 13-week program, the dogs will be used to sniff out bombs, drugs and people trying to sneak into the country.
One member of the graduating class, Slick, a German shepherd paired with handler Wilfredo Garcia, was so excited he jumped up on his hind legs to greet Chertoff.
"Dogs are a vital security resource," Chertoff said at the training center in Front Royal, about 70 miles west of Washington. "When it comes to protecting the homeland, our canine teams have proven time and time again they have a tremendous intrinsic value."
Despite new high-tech devices, Chertoff said a dog is often the best equipped to quickly detect explosives, narcotics and even people being smuggled into the country.
"I don't think anything has yet surpassed the canine team," he said.
Customs and Border Protection officials said dogs can screen a vehicle at the border in seconds and do a thorough exam in minutes. This compares to at least 20 minutes for an agent or officer to conduct even a cursory check of a vehicle.
There are currently more than 800 dog teams working around the United States, with most focused on the borders.
Since the September 11, 2001, attacks, Customs and Border Protection has started training more dogs.
"9/11 promoted the canine teams to a new and more significant mission, which is to protect us against acts of terrorism," Chertoff said.
If a dog finds a trace of a drug or weapon, it is instructed to stop and sit. A dog named Skeet did just that in a demonstration for Chertoff, sitting down behind a car in which a shoulder-launched missile was hidden in the trunk.

P.S. In my opinion dogs are great in many circumstances but for "missing people" I feel the bloodhound is in a class of it's own. If you research that breed, that is the reason for the excess skin around the face the scent is kept within. Many small municipalities I feel are under funded or just use the wrong trained dogs for what specific need is at hand. Several examples to this (Children in the trunk, Aruba, missing children cases and searching for criminals on the lose, etc.) How good is your dog at seeking things out besides food?? (smiling)P.S. OR if you had one what would you want it to do? (sorry for the late update)

No Bond! Death or Life?

In regards to my prior post On The Look Out this week, many good comments and updates are in that section. Jennifer Hyatte appeared live this a.m. in front of the judge where her attorney objected to the extradition to TN. Tennessee will have to get a warrant to Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, who is out of the country. This may delay extradition for up to 90 days. These two prior fugitives do not want to return to TN obviously. Bond was denied, charges include 1st degree Murder and she will face her fate for killing Wayne “Cotton” Morgan, shot in the stomach. Life in prison, life without parole, or execution-Death by one of two means; electrocution or lethal injection? Punishment in the U.S. This is her first offense, been declared a good mother of three children by her ex-husband, but the fact is she murdered an innocent correctional officer. What are your views, if you dare answer on what you believe her punishment should be?

Potty-mouthed? New English words are just lush

LONDON (Reuters) - Do chuggers bother you when you want to rock up to a restaurant with your cockapoo to hoover a supersized ruby murray?
Confused? Then you need to refer to the new Oxford Dictionary of English to understand a host of new words that appear for the first time in its latest edition.
Among the new entries are "potty-mouthed" (meaning using or characterized by bad language), "lush" (very good) and "scopophilia" (sexual pleasure derived chiefly from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity).
Some words, such as "demographic" (a particular sector of a population) have become commonplace but only now make it into the dictionary. They are joined by those emerging from new technology like "phishing" (fraudulently sending emails purporting to be from reputable firms to get individuals to reveal personal details).
Many of the new words are simply formed by mixing two others together, such as charity and mugger making "chugger" (someone who approaches passers-by in the street asking for donations for a charity) and "labradoodle" (a cross between a Labrador retriever and a poodle).
"To suit the pace of our lifestyle today there is a growing tendency to mix words together to make entirely new ones called blends," the dictionary researchers said.
They also said there were now 350 ways of insulting someone -- from "chucklehead" to "muppet" -- ten times more than there were complimentary expressions, while there were 50 words for good-looking women, there were only about 20 for men.
And for those without a dictionary to hand, "rock up" means arrive, "cockapoo" is a mix between a cocker spaniel dog and a poodle, "hoover" means to eat something quickly, and "ruby murray" is rhyming slang for a curry.

P.S. Of course we do not like insulting people (smiling) but what would be your meaning to "Potty-Mouth" or do you have additonal words to add to this list besides BLOODY??? (smiling) Or just your views on this article or the words listed?

Monks run out of the world's best beer

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Monks at a Belgian abbey have been forced to stop selling their famous beer after it was voted the best in the world and was promptly sold out.
The abbey of Saint Sixtus of Westvleteren in western Belgium is home to some 30 Cistercian and Trappist monks who lead a life of seclusion, prayer, manual labor -- and beer-brewing.
A survey of thousands of beer enthusiasts from 65 countries on the RateBeer Web site (www.ratebeer.com) in June rated the Westvleteren 12 beer as the world's best.
But the abbey only has a limited brewing capacity, and was not able to cope with the beer's sudden popularity.
"Our shop is closed because all our beer has been sold out," said a message on the abbey's answering machine, which it calls the "beer phone."
And the abbey has no intention of boosting its capacity to satisfy market demand.
"We are not brewers, we are monks. We brew beer to be able to afford being monks," the father abbot said on the abbey's Web site.
Monk Mark Bode told De Morgen daily: "Outsiders don't understand why we are not raising production. But for us life in the abbey comes first, not the brewery." What is your favorite???

Wanted: In Our Backyard Today!

Search for a Rapist on the Run
In our neighboring cities like in the backyard. (YIKES) My son earlier was in that area working, but since then off to check on his other crews in different places. National News 'FNC Live' - Broward County here in South Florida! Several schools (5) are on lockdown right at this moment and he could be anywhere right now! Everyone that lives down here are closer than that map shows - for ones not familar with our area! This is one of the reasons I watch the news continuously! Does anyone else like to be informed on current events or breaking news???OR is it just a few of US?

UPDATE: Just minutes ago THEY CAUGHT the rapist/kidnapper after a long 8 hour search. (5 p.m.) His picture was captured on the bus video moments before his crime, so that helped the police tremendously. Found in Mirmar near an apartment building! THANK GOD he is now off the streets!

On the LOOKOUT!!

WANTED: Dead or Live: Fugitives on the Run!
NATIONWIDE SEARCH! Terror started in Tennesse!
Take a good look and hopefully they will be found very quickly. Extremely dangerous and Do not approach call 911 instead. So far 20 to 30 leads an hour are coming in, but no solid leads yet on where these two criminals are. For the full story click here: UPDATED INFO They could be any where. Experts say they could still be in the area held up in someone’s home (what a scary thought – Home Invasion), a safe house pre-arranged, or moving across country. Where I live we pay close attention to criminals, apparently out of the prior 5 times George Hyatte has escaped once he came to Florida. This posting is mainly for ones that do not watch news regularly and to allow ones that view my blog to get a good look at these people.

My eerie theory is if Jennifer Hyatte shaved her head and dressed in baggy clothes, they would probably blend in better with her maybe looking like another man and that thought I have not heard as a possibility. You would think a white injured woman with a very short black man, it would be noticeable especially with all the news coverage, but after 24 hours they still have not located them. The law officials believe that this couple knows life is over for them, so at this point they have nothing to lose. Another thought was they could hold up a doctor’s office for medical attention. Chances are this couple will have no problem with killing again. Why do you think people do things like this??... especially ones that have planned it out ahead of time fully knowing they will get caught eventually or even die at the time of capture? This is so beyond what I can comprehend on why someone would commit terrible crimes and kill an innocent person deliberately.
Does anyone have an opinion???... or a thought on why?? P.S. ANY THEORIES from ANYONE..... On what you think these idiots will do or where they would hide if they had a BRAIN????? A guess or theory!!!! perhaps from anyone!

News Topics - Aug 2005

Condolences for the Jennings family today, Peter Jennings will be missed. It is very sad that someone so young as so many others have to pass away early in their life. He was 67 years old and died of lung cancer.

Discovery should hopefully be landing safely in couple hours from now, and we are all wishing for the best. (Up late as usual and may wait and watch, if I can stay awake) Update: A NO GO on the landing! 3:15 a.m.

So far it looks like our 9th named Tropical Storm Irene may be heading later this week to the east of Bermuda.

Our U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia will be closed on Monday and Tuesday because of threats. Americans are urged to keep “a high level of vigilance” released in a statement, but did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.

Let us remember our friends in Sicily from the devastating plane crash killing 13, while 23 survived. Two people are still believed missing. Some survivors battered 10-foot waves and strong currents to stay alive.

A true miracle, the seven Russian Sailors that were trapped for 3 days were saved by the U.S. and Britain, I am sure they were extremely grateful beyond words and that President Vladimir Putin did not wait too long as he did in the past resulting in others dying. Putin failed to make a public comment on Sunday, he was on vacation. Humm! I totally believe Russia will be one of our biggest threats in the near future along with China. My feelings are Putin and his cronies were responsible for the new Pres. V. Yushchenko of the Ukraine for the poisoning. Wonder if he also had connections to the school killings as well, to get a larger hold on the power?? Always been a question lingering in my mind. Certain sources speak of Russia as the NORTH, actually Moscow is directly north of Israel the center point of our world.

The new tape released having to look once again of Osama bin Laden’s No#2 man in Al-Qaeda Al Zawahiri, a 54-yr-old Egyptian doctor. "Our message is clear -- what you saw in New York and Washington (in 2001) and what you are seeing in Afghanistan and Iraq, all these are nothing compared to what you will see next." Reminding us once again of terror attacks that will come. Well, if you read my prior posts, I indicate we are in line for sure if not next, believe me it is coming and I feel they are going to demonstrate there worst evil on our soil spontaneously all over at the same time in different states.

P.S. Open for comments and/or debates., please no one person's fault bashing please. Thanks! Have links in my sidebar and write an email or call the White House. (Smiling) Made it easy for you! Vote if you wish, new week and readers hopefully that are as nice as all of you!

Magazine Madness

Am I the only one?? Always loved magazines and subscribed to them. Which ones do you enjoy, receive and if so what in the world do you do with them? Wishing I would take them to nursing homes, doctor’s offices or suggestions that you guys may have! I have a bad habit of letting them accumulate and add up in a pile here and there. I keep thinking I will finish reading it, cut out an article, save a recipe, re-read a fascinating story, look at more of the pictures and dream etc. I could continue with the excuses. I get numerous magazines, absolutely crazy because most times if I want current stories, the internet is at my finger tips, receive email newsletters, and the cable news is on most all the time in the background. What is up with this obsession with magazines? My list consist of Architectural Digest, Vogue, Forbes, Southern Accents, Elle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Money, House Beautiful, Time, Newsweek, Enjoying Everyday Life, Italian Vogue, Lucky, and several more. Embarrassed to keep listing them, because I should not have so many magazines to read that I never get around to all of them, I keep thinking that I will miss something or there is an article that I want to cut out and paste it in my yearly journal I have been receiving from American Express for 15 years. My son gets so aggravated with me and my daughter for our need to hold on to these magazines and for some I reason I understand his frustration. There are many questions in this post. Is it a man thing about discarding everything? What magazines do you subscribed to? What do you do with the ones you have? Am I nuts? (already know the answer to that) I do love my madness about Magazines and always have. Please share your selections or anything you may want to answer or add. P.S. Have a great weekend!

Brand N Generic

Starting at childhood, there are several Brand products that were required in our home. My Mother believed in Tide detergent, Crest toothpaste, Ivory soap (skin drying-smiling), fresh fish, and Kraft Mayo, to name a few. Not much has changed in my 40 plus years around our house since then. Tide, Crest, Clorox, Windex, and Noxzema always around are as well…. passed down. However, for 26 years now, we use only Hellmann’s Real Mayo – Life stops here for a sandwich just like the commercial. (smiling) So we make sure to buy at least 3 jars for backup placed in the pantry. Liquid Soft Soap, Glad trash bags, Ziploc baggies, Dawn Liquid, and most all Estee Lauder products besides a huge selection of perfumes of different brands. We totally live by varies brands of The Best Olive Oils, only local farm grown juicy tomatoes, and fresh bread and herbs followed by trying new coffees and wines.
Some Generic items are not a problem, suntan oil, an occasional soda in the cheap machine, fabric softeners, half and half, sugar, and a few drugs. Several others I could list, but can not think of them at the moment.

Which are your favorites in Brands and Generic products?
Tell me all you want, would love to hear about it. It may help me save money knowing other brands that work just as good.
P.S. If you get a chance check out my sister's hilarious blog on Walmart! . (removed)

Doctor Wants Me

After three days of panic finally late Monday came time to face the music. He, the doctor, insisted I take up residences immediately at the hospital. After pleading, crying, and putting my BIG FOOT DOWN, I won. So he reluctantly gave me a note on a prescription pad for the paramedics, when they arrive at the door. blank-blank-crap! Shall I name the reasons why I do not want to be there, no explanation needed I do not think. (smiling) If anyone has ever been there, should know what I am conveying. They hurt you and make it harder to escape these days as I did once. Hospital stays SUCK and I have visited plenty and have had enough of them. So now I will forget it and go on to another post subject and put this out of my mind.

Embarrassing Moments

Once I read on a blog, what was one of your most embarrassing moments? Well, since I have had so many my mind went blank. Wish I could remember which of my friends posted about it. Today at Anna Land, my memory was jogged about one of the many times flying to Italy. My daughter and I were in first class but were unable to sit next to each other; however I had this nice looking well dressed man in the seat beside me. Whoa I was turned on by that and hoping for conversation some time on our flight. We were in row one and all settled in for a long journey from Miami to Paris, about 8 hours going over, it is longer coming back because of the tail wind or whatever. Anyway, we were treated like royalty….champagne, caviar, drinks unlimited, our own DVD player, movies to select from, and the best was the recliner chair that went all the way back like a bed. Well, we spoke a few times small talk and he ruffled through paperwork and I did the same knowing I would be getting off the plane eventually in Venice, IT and would go straight from the airport to work.
We never introduced our self the majority of trip but later that happened. Meanwhile backing up, after several drinks and a full belly along with my pills for sleeping…I passed out. First embarrassment was waking up after drooling!! ( My face is turning red thinking about it) Hopefully no sounds came from my body while sleeping Lord knows I do not want to know that info ever. As we were getting close to Paris for a layover, we started chatting. It seems we were both in the fashion industry. I was listening but still being an idiot and embarrassed did not hear actually what he said. I caught the part where he designed for Celine, well that must have been all I heard and the brain shut down after that. Well to shorten this story, my daughter and I had to get on a shuttle bus in Paris to go to another terminal and we sat by him and his friend, as I introduced my daughter to him I super embarrassed myself then again, because it turned out his name was Michael Kors….the famous fashion designer, but he did design for other designers as well before he became so well known under his own brand (for the longest time My daughter had the biggest crush on him thereafter) What an idiot I was. I learned that day, listen closely with a clear mind and keep your mouth shut if you only have stupid things to say. I think I still need to learn that lesson. Tell me if you wish of embarrassing stories, because I would love to hear about them.
P.S. Vote if you want, love to be able to get off the bottom floor!! (smiling)

The Village

Not sure - but I believe I am the only one in this Village from Boca Raton? Correct me if I am wrong please. FYI, I live within a Christian and Jewish community. I respect and love all my neighbors. The best way to describe me is VERY SPIRITUAL and High Spirited versus being of any particular Religion, more like Non-Denominational. Do not wish to sound Preachy here, but once I say this or vent in other words I will feel better, and hopefully be back to my old self with a sense of humor. Smiling and Posting as usual, but for almost a week this burden almost created havoc on me. My well being is what it is all about, to me anyway, so I had to get re- spiritually tuned. For the record, I do not belong to Southern Baptist Sexy Singles nor do I attend the Church of Boca Raton but for ones interested though go to www.bocacoummunity.org. Continuing the record, I have NEVER SIGNED IN as ANONYMOUS, so if you see my name I said it. Just in case, some one wonders. Google ads or not, it does not matter, because it hit home.
Many decades ago, yes I am guilty of dabbling on the dark side and ashamed of it now, after something extremely bad happened to me no need for more details. I do not want any part of Ouija boards, Tarot cards, Bad Witchcraft, Symbols or Voodoo i.e. to do with opening a quack for Satan to enter, once that happens he has a stronghold. Hold on, because happiness and love will be lost in the long run.
Sorry for the one that said “My feet sizzle and burn when I tred on hallowed ground”
Coming from generations of psychics, I use my powers for good. I could quote scripture how those powers were stripped from King Saul by ignoring his own ability to use his own, but instead later used wizards, witches, or sorcery. Your brain is the most sensuous part of your body and you have all abilities within to do all things without outside sources.
Everyone has the RIGHT living in our great country the USA to worship or believe as they wish; I have no problem with that. But I will not be a participant in that type of giggling of Christians, Prayers or anything in reference to My Heavenly Father. If I offend anyone or lose readers because of this post, I am deeply sorry but this had to be expressed and it is my Blog. Actually I pray for non-believers and people that are lost. Hell is real and is eternity, your worst fears that you can never even imagine from insects, snakes to torture for ever more.
If you do not wish to comment that is fine too, but don’t be an ass and do it anonymous, anything that is stated evil, I have the power to delete. Now with this said, I now have a smile on my face and happy again. Joy, Love and Peace to all! AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I was partially wrong on a comment, Noah lived to be 950 yrs old total but after the flood he lived 350 more years. Cursing, lying, over eating, addictions…you name it... is a sin, and we all do it, not one of us are perfect and never will be. I just ask forgiveness for it. HOPEFULLY this will be the LAST of this TYPE OF POSTING on this particular blog of mine.
