White House Correspondents' Assoc Dinner
It was a BIG HIT!!!!! (smiling)
Last night it was great when FNC flipped over to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, every year I look forward to that coverage of the President or Laura like last year at the podium. I immediately started laughing out loud and thought how creative from the White House. It was hilarious from the start. Our President with his look-alike comedian Steve Bridges (Bush’s impersonator) played a split personality and performed a skit that was very humorous and I could not stop laughing. It was truly funny, but in a jabbing way at the liberals mainly was the most comical.
It should remind some that our President as a great sense of humor and has a special character, in order to poke fun at himself. That is a positive attribute in oneself. He was full of smiles and laughter as they exchanged roles for what most likely the President is thinking at times and how he mispronounces words, etc. It crossed my mind too, that I bet everyone that is close to our President gets to experience his sense of humor regularly and no wonder the friendships and the loyalty is what it is between them. On the other hand, it is obvious why President Bush dreads this annual dinner, if I were him, I would too, especially when you know in the audience there are people that despise you and say awful things in the MSM and to your face. We all remember not long ago, Coretta King’s funeral, oh was that disrespectful in the worst way. I know the President shakes it off, but I always feel more for our First Lady and what she has to go through. Knowing that has to hurt for Laura having to sit there and hear, with cameras on you, while others try to humiliate her husband. If you get chance be sure to catch the clip. So glad that FNC cut the camera coverage just after Stephen Colbert, from Comedy Central took possession of the microphone from Comedy Central and what came afterwards. Pres. Bush and Laura did not seem amused.

WASHINGTON - It was twice the fun for members of the White House Correspondents' Association and guests Saturday night when President Bush and a look-alike, sound-alike sidekick poked fun at the president and fellow politicians.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I feel chipper tonight. I survived the White House shake-up," the president said.
But impersonator Steve Bridges stole many of the best lines. Vice President Dick Cheney and his hunting accident were targets of his humor on a couple of occasions.
"Speaking of suspects, where is the great white hunter?" Bridges said, later adding, "He shot the only trial lawyer in the country who supports me."
Bush continued a tradition begun by President Coolidge in attending the correspondents' dinner.
He invited Bridges to play his double. The president talked to the press in polite, friendly terms. Bridges told them what the president was really thinking.
