Iran and August 22 Significance
For ones of you that have not read Joel C. Rosenberg's blog or his books, I highly (stressing highly) recommend you click over to his site and bookmark it. I receive his newsletter regularly in my email, and each time I am reminded that I have to continue to get the word out. My thoughts and beliefs are conducive to the message he is conveying to ones to understand involving Bible prophecies. Joel is Jewish but is a Christian and you will be astonished at what he reveals.
For years, he has been interviewed hundreds of times and called to Washington D.C. and has consulted with high-ranking intel officials both in the States and in Israel. Recently Joel appeared on CNN and was attacked by far left smear sites for what he believes and has written that is now coming true in front of our eyes. (WASHINGTON, D.C., AUGUST 9, 2006) -- Is Iran planning an apocalyptic strike against Israel and/or the United States for August 22nd? If so, what should the U.S. do to protect Americans and our ally? Such questions are worrying a growing number of officials in the White House, at CIA, and the Pentagon, and for good reason.
As a devout Shi'ite Muslim, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is telling colleagues in Tehran that he believes that the end of the world is rapidly approaching. He also believes that the way to hasten the coming of the Islamic Messiah known as the "Hidden Imam" or the "Mahdi" is to launch a catastrophic global jihad, first against Israel (the "little Satan") and then against the U.S. (the "Great Satan"). What's more, Ahmadinejad is widely believed to be pursuing nuclear weapons that would give him the ability to carry out his apocalyptic religious views. Some experts even speculate that Iran may already have several atomic bombs and the means to deliver them. When I interviewed President Reagan's Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger in February of this year (just a few weeks, as it turned out, before he passed away), he told me on the record that he believed Iran had already gone nuclear and this was why Ahmadinejad was speaking so boldly and provocatively. Points out Ahmadinejad not anti-Jewish... just anti-Zionist state. Says many Jews in Iranian Parliament, in great positions in Iranian life... Believes Ahmadinejad sincere in his hope for peaceful coexistence between Iran and West... Troubled by comparisons of leader to Hitler... Marvels at Ahmadinejad's civil engineering degree, 'intellect', 'savvy'... Asks viewers not to bring 'prejudices' to Sunday night '60 MINUTES' broadcast... Proclaims 'discussion' was sincere and not for propaganda purposes... Developing...
Since last fall I have been reporting on Iran and Russia's connections and my beliefs on the final stages of Ahmadinejah's progress on nuclear weapons. I truly believe he has them, in 2005 Israel's intel expected the final stages should have been last spring of 2006. Iran's President is home free in my opinion, and there is not much anyone can do or will do about it.
