Open Track Back Saturday

Wow, it is Open Trackback Saturday already and the first day of July. Time flies, does it not? So much has been happening in the world and right here at home that it is difficult to sum everything up like last week's summary post. First off, wasn't that a riot/hoot about the Japanese PM, who shares the same b'day with Elvis, Jan 8th, going to Graceland with the President? Japan's leader calls it a dream come true. Of all the places in the world he could've visited, he was thrilled to be going to Graceland. The trip was Bush's farewell gift to Koizumi, who leaves office in September.

Wish the Japan's PM was able to stay longer, it seems he gave us all a big smile while visiting the U.S. Fox News has photos and articles about his visit. It seemed the reporters had a blast covering the trip to Graceland as well.

Reuters reports NASA readies crucial Shuttle flight from Florida
CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - NASA counted down to the launch of space shuttle Discovery on Saturday, hoping to fly a crucial mission whose failure could ground the shuttle fleet permanently and leave the International Space Station unfinished.

Discovery is scheduled to lift off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 3:49 p.m. EDT (1949 GMT) on a voyage to the space station that will test repairs to the shuttle's troublesome fuel tank, which triggered the destruction of shuttle Columbia and the deaths of seven astronauts in 2003.
