Creedence Clearwater Revival
Creedence Clearwater Revival was formed in the mid 60's by brothers Tom and John Fogerty, and between 1968 and 1972 the band released seven studio albums for the Fantasy label. C.C.R. became one of the most popular singles bands in America for most of the late 60's and early 70's and with a number of classic hits , including "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," "Down on the Corner," "Travelin' Band," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Up Around the Bend," and "Lookin' out My Back Door." the band earned their place in music history and in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The band’s debut album, simply titled Creedence Clearwater Revival was originally released in July 1968. The album was a mixture of original compositions written mainly by John Fogerty and featured extended , psychedelic workouts of '50s classics "I Put a Spell on You", “Ninety Nine and A Half” and "Suzy Q." The latter song became the bands’ first big hit, and paved the way for a string of hits that were to follow in the next two years.
