Weasel Robert Wexler, Florida Liberal, U.S. Congressman voted both ways today, on U.F.O. man, Dennis Kucinich's resolution, to impeach V.P. Dick Cheney.

Co-Sponors on the bill included Muslim Keith Ellison, Jan Schakowsky, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson, Keith Ellison, Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, Albert Wynn, William Lacy Clay, Dennis Kucinich, Yvette Clarke, Jim McDermott, Jim Moran, Bob Filner, Sam Farr, Robert Brady, Tammy Baldwin, Donald Payne, Steve Cohen, Sheila Jackson Lee, Carolyn Kilpatrick, Ed Towns, Diane Watson.

Brian Faughnan at the Weekly Standard reported on the Democrat Switch-A-Roos....
There were 81 Democrats who voted to have an impeachment debate when they were pretty sure it would be tabled, then turned around and voted to prevent a debate when it was clear one might occur. Those opportunists are:

Florida's weazel Congressman, Robert (Bob) Wexler posted this on his website.
Urges Judiciary Committee to Schedule Impeachment Hearings Immediately

(Washington, DC) Today, Congressman Wexler supported allowing debate and a vote on a privileged resolution sponsored by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) on the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney (H.Res. 333). Wexler voted no, along with only 85 other Democrats, on tabling the measure and in support of beginning immediate debate and a vote on the Cheney impeachment resolution. The vote on tabling the Kucinich resolution was rejected, and the House subsequently voted to refer the matter to the Judiciary Committee.

“Vice President Dick Cheney and the Bush Administration have demonstrated a consistent pattern of abusing the law and misleading Congress and the American people. We see the consequences of these actions abroad in Iraq and at home through the violations of our civil liberties,” Wexler said.

“The American people are served well with a legitimate and thorough impeachment inquiry. I urge the Judiciary Committee to schedule impeachment hearings immediately and not let this issue languish as it has over the last six months. Only through hearings can we begin to correct the abuses of Dick Cheney and the Bush Administration; and, if it is determined in these hearings that Vice President Cheney has committed High Crimes and Misdemeanors, he should be impeached and removed from office.”
According to The Hill, Rep. John Shadegg gets credit for outmaneuvering the Dems. Liberal Wexler is the only Florida Representative that was on the list.

Washington Post:The House voted today to send a resolution considering the impeachment of Vice President Cheney to the Judiciary Committee, a move that embarrassed Democratic leaders who were forced into the parliamentary tactic to avoid a floor debate on impeachment
*Updated* I love the post Don Surber wrote, an excerpt here...
The No. 2 Democrat in the House tried to ditch the proposal like Ugly Betty at the Junior Prom. House Republicans decided to have a little fun with it. They voted to allow Kucinich to proceed with his little resolution.

Sure, expose to the nation just what kind of loony bins voters sent to the House of Representatives. Congress has the lowest job approval rating of anyone ebver in Washington. 11%. Cheney’s numbers are better!

Sure, show the public just what these lifer politicians are doing in Washington.
It seems the Left is quiet. Our stupid Florida Congressman should think about the voters and his approval ratings instead of his Liberal ideology.
