Jet Fighter Planes Divert United Plane to Boston
Via Fox News: London-to-D.C. Flight Diverted to Boston After Passenger Disturbance
BOSTON — A flight from London to Washington, D.C. was diverted to Boston Wednesday morning after the pilot declared an emergency because of a passenger disturbance, the airline said.
United Flight 923 with 182 passengers and 12 crew members landed safely at Boston's Logan International Airport, United spokesman Brandon Borrman said.
A Logan spokesman said three passengers had a confrontation with the flight crew. State Police took control of the plane after it landed. All the passengers were being taken off the plane and their carry-on luggage was being checked, said spokesman Phil Orlandella.
**UPDATE** T.S.A. is now stating that earlier AP reports about the belongings of one female passenger is not true. This may be a case of some sort of panic attack that caused a uncontrollable situation involving the woman and a flight attendant. The AP is now reporting that this incident is not Terror Related.
**UPDATE** Now Mixed Reports...T.S.A. will not confirm whether or not the woman's possessions reported earlier was on the plane and the AP is saying she did not have them.
**UPDATE** A disturbed 59 year old woman on the plane caused it to divert.
