Alaskans Refuse Free Heating Oil from Hugo Chavez

I admire and respect the Alaskans for this decision.

Americans have opened their wallets and come to the aid of Alaskan villagers who spurned an offer of free heating oil from Bush-bashing Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
As NewsMax reported in October, the remote Aleut village of Nelson Lagoon and several other Alaskan communities, where oil costs more than $5 a gallon, had received an offer of free fuel from Citgo, the petroleum company controlled by Chavez’s government.
But the offer came shortly after Chavez called President Bush "the devil” and a "genocidal murderer” in a speech to the United Nations.
In rejecting the offer, Nelson Lagoon tribal council administrator Justine Gunderson said: "As a citizen of this country, you can have your own opinion of our president and our country. But I don’t want a foreigner coming in here and bashing us. Even though we’re in economically dire straits, it was the right choice to make.”[read more]
However, Joe Kennedy and clan doesn't care, they will take it.
