Zarqawi's Autospy News Conference

I watched the live news conference this morning in reference to the death of Al-Zarqawi. The Iraqi police were at the scene when the U.S. arrived. Our armed forces were at the bomb site twenty-eight (28) minutes thereafter at 6:40 p.m. local time.

CNN:
Col. Steve Jones, command surgeon for Multinational Forces, said an autopsy concluded that the terrorist leader died from serious injuries to his lungs. An FBI test positively identified al-Zarqawi's remains.

Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, a spokesman for the U.S. military in Baghdad, said U.S. forces arrived about 28 minutes after a fighter jet bombed al-Zarqawi's hideout outside Baqouba on Wednesday. (Watch for the specifics on getting the body and his injuries -- 2:49)

BAGHDAD (AFP) : US military doctor Colonel Steve Jones told reporters in Baghdad: "The cause of death was close space primary blast injury of the lung. Blast waves from the two bombs caused tearing, bruising of the lungs and bleeding ...
"This wound was not immediately fatal. Death occurred as lung function deteriorated and the lungs became progressively unable to absorb oxygen into the bloodstream."

I took many notes, but have not composed them yet for posting. Hopefully later I will be able to edit this post with fact-based information and with my opinions about this monster Zarqawi being alive just long enough to be helpless and scared.
