British Police Bust 14 More Terror Suspects

**UPDATE** Since posting early this a.m. as I read through World Breaking News the number of suspects have changed from 14 to 16 now. This is a new batch of terror suspects not connected to the alleged transatlantic jet bomb plot or the 7 July attacks.

LONDON (Reuters) - British police said on Saturday they had arrested 14 men in a major new anti-terrorism operation in the capital just three weeks after uncovering a suspected plot to bring down U.S.-bound airliners over the Atlantic.
Officers arrested the men in raids in south and east London on Friday night and early on Saturday morning.
"Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Anti-Terrorist Branch have arrested 14 men under the Terrorism Act 2000 in a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation," London police said in a statement. [read more]

Armed police have arrested 14 men overnight following anti-terror raids in London, which included 12 arrests at a restaurant in the Borough area.

LONDON (Reuters) - British police said on Saturday they had arrested 16 men in two separate anti-terrorism operations just three weeks after uncovering a suspected plot to bring down U.S.-bound airliners over the Atlantic.
Fourteen of the men were held in London in an operation that a police source said focused on suspected "training, recruitment and encouraging others to take part in terrorist activity".
